As analyses of the primal form of communication have advanced, so has the observed richness of its universal vocabulary.

원시적 형태의 의사소통에 관한 분석이 발전해 왔듯이, 그것의 보편적 어휘에 관한 풍부한 관찰도 발전해 왔다. 

 

One suite of signals contains postures that display dominance within groups, as well as the means to achieve it in the first place.

일련의 신호는 우선 권세를 성취하는 방법 뿐만 아니라 집단 내에서 권세를 보여 주는 자세도 포함하고 있다. 

 

They turn out to be similar to those in social Old World monkeys and apes.

그것은 사회생활을 하는 ‘구세계’ 원숭이와 유인원의 그것과 비슷하다고 밝혀지고 있다. 

 

Deborah H. Gruenfeld, a social psychologist at Stanford University, found that people feel more powerful — and often are so in actuality — when they display the following traits in the presence of groupmates:

Behave expansively, keep your hands away from your body, make eye contact as you talk but feel free to look away at your leisure.

넓은 공간을 차지하며 행동하고, 두 손을 몸에서 떨어뜨리고, 말하면서 눈 맞추기를 하지만 편할 때에 자유롭게 눈길을 돌려라.
